Developed between 2017 and 2021, Porphyry is a new display typeface inspired by chiseled, stonework forms. Porphyry is a stone that was considered regal in antiquity and prized for its hardness. The typeface takes those qualities, referencing classic Roman type, and is elevated by ligatures throughout.
